A good training track for Rilla who finds a great buck at the end of line

It was great to hear from Stan Kite, who owns a 2010 Joeri/Gilda puppy "Rilla"

Hi folks!

Just wanted to let you know that last Thursday evening, my older son shot a half decent 9 pt buck in our woods. He knew he made a good shot, but didn't pursue the deer until I got there with Rilla. It took her a minute at the hit sight to get started (we never did find his arrow), but once on the trail, she did really well. She previously did a nighttime track in a hayfield, but never in the woods, so this was new to her. There were no well-defined deer trails, and it was very thick and briar-laden, so things were hitting her in the face, etc. She was a little aprehensive at times with all the obstacles. The total track was less than 100 yds, and she worked one check especially well, a hard left turn that wasn't obvious at all. Once again, I was extremely proud of our little pup!
