First find of the season for Darren and Karl

In some states such as New Jersey a deer hunting season has already started. In New York we will have to wait another month.

The picture shows Karl's first find. Darren Doran, Karl's owner and handler, wrote: Hunter hit the deer good but there was no blood, he looked but couldn't find it. It was hot about 85. He shot it in the morning and I found it about 3:30 PM. 

I'd like to comment that Karl is wearing Ruff Wear Web Master Dog Harness, which is many handlers' favorite vest for blood tracking dachshunds.
