Nature pictures on Earth Day

It has been raining since yesterday and it will continue  until tomorrow afternoon. We have been very dry so the rain is much needed. John has been away judging Deer Search Blood Tracking Competition, and we should have a post about this even this upcoming week. There are other posts waiting for the final formatting, but today to honor Earth Day I am posting some of the recent pictures. There is so much beauty around us! Make sure you don't miss it.

A few lines from a Tolkien poem:

"For still there are so many things

That I have never seen.

In every wood in every spring

There is a different green."

As you say, Jolanta, 'don't miss it!"

What a beautiful quote Teddy! How true.

Beautiful Jolanta! We had a nice weekend at Åland. The finnish island 2 hours boat from Stockholm.

You took some really nice pics there!

Such lovely photos as always. Please send rain - oh wait wrong direction. Your blossoms give me hope to see ours soon (unless summer comes without spring first). I could just smell them all - virtually of course. :)

Our spring has been so dry too, but in the last 48 hours we got 3.5" of rain. When it gets warmer, it will get really green. Some regions in NY are getting a lot of snow, more than 10". I hope we can avoid it.
