First snow of the season creates a pretty depressing sight

We have been tracking intensively, especially John, but all this came to a sudden stop today when it started to snow around noon. By now we have gotten at least four inches of the snow and sleet mixture. The sky has been dark all day, and you can feel that winter is lurking just around the corner. Pretty depressing I must say. The forecast calls for higher temperatures in a day or two so let's hope that we will have a better weather really soon.
